A natural cross between Nepeta sibirica and N. faassenii discovered by gardener Joanna Reed of Pennsylvania then named and introduced by David Culp through Sunny Border Nurseries. This compact catmint, at 24-30” tall, has large lavender-purple flower spikes starting in mid May. The aromatic gray-green foliage spreads 36-48” wide and given a good haircut in late June will extend the bloom period well into fall. Form remains dense and compact when planted in full sun. It is deer resistant and will not re-seed since the flowers are sterile.
