In April this slow spreading selection boasts outfacing flowers made up of luscious pink sepals, bright cherry-red spurs and a central yellow-rimmed cup. The inflorescences extend above the 12-15” tall foliage. In spring the foliage often emerges with a reddish-maroon blush before becoming a shiny green. Cold temperatures bring on purplish tones to the leaves which continue to look good right up through the winter holiday season or until severe cold sets in. Prefers well-drained, rich soils and partial shade.
