An attractive, easy to grow, deciduous shrub with an upright habit and distinctive horizontal secondary branch structure. The delicate, nodding, bell-shaped flowers appear in May and June in a range of colors from near white to pale yellow to dark reddish-maroon. Fall color can be spectacular and often includes stunning reds, oranges and yellows. Plants work well in a variety of landscape situations and can be trained into small trees if selectively pruned.
