In its natural habitat this fairy bell can be found on the shaded floors of the Japanese coniferous forests. The olive green foliage alternates up its 12-15" stems and in May one to two clean white star-shaped flowers can be found dangling from their tips. Likes growing in moist, organically rich soils in shade to part shade.
