RETAIL NURSERY

Welcome to Broken Arrow Nursery, a distinctive specialty nursery located in Hamden, CT. Despite our small size, we offer an exciting variety of rare and unusual trees, shrubs and perennials. We differ from other specialty nurseries by the fact that we propagate and grow over 65% of the plants we list.

On Saturday, August 2nd, renowned landscape designer, Louis Raymond of Renaissance Gardening, will present a late morning lecture “Colorful Foliage?  Now You’ve Gone Too Far!”.  Louis will present at 11AM followed by a lunch. In the afternoon Louis will stroll the nursery grounds highlighting some of his favorite plants. We will wrap up the day with Louis showing some great foliage combinations using nursery stock. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. A prepaid fee of $30 will cover the lecture, lunch and tour.  Call or email to secure your spot.

We are excited about the addition of a new post and beam sales barn which will serve as the “gateway” to our revamped sales area. We are confident that this barn along with many other improvements such as new signage will result in a more enjoyable shopping experience.

Broken Arrow has become well known for its friendly, knowledgeable staff. Educating our customers has always been a top priority and we enjoy sharing our expertise and enthusiasm for plants.

Please remember we are closed for retail sales November through March, however if you need to visit during these months we ask you call ahead to ensure we are available to help you.
